Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Sphinx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Erikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonas Erikson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erikson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jonas Erikson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sphinx looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Erikson!
Sphinx looking to control but Erikson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Sphinx is going olschool here, as he tries to force Erikson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Erikson shrugs it off.
Sphinx can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Erikson is looking to escape.
Erikson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sphinx. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Erikson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
