Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Humperdink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masato Michinoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Edgar Humperdink!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masato Michinoku!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michinoku throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Humperdink's waist but Humperdink gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Michinoku off to one side.
Michinoku has a takedown stuffed.
Humperdink wants to clinch up but Michinoku keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Humperdink looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Michinoku is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Humperdink stuffs the takedown.
Edgar Humperdink has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Masato Michinoku.
Humperdink doesn't manage to clinch there - Michinoku circles away.

Humperdink fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Michinoku, pushing him back against the ropes.

Michinoku pulls guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Michinoku is trying to control the position but Humperdink postures up.
Humperdink might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Michinoku wants to sweep but no luck.
Michinoku is trying to hold Humperdink in close to prevent damage but Humperdink has managed to pass into half guard.
Michinoku tries to get to full guard but Humperdink has control of the leg.

Humperdink tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Michinoku is trying to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Michinoku fails to land the takedown.

Humperdink moves into the clinch successfully.
Michinoku has Humperdink pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Humperdink manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Humperdink breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Michinoku keeps the fight on the outside.
Horrible takedown by Michinoku or perhaps it was just good defense by Humperdink which made him look bad.
Michinoku looks gassed!
Humperdink smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Edgar Humperdink seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Michinoku circles away from the clinch attempt.
Humperdink tries to clinch

and Michinoku counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Michinoku takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Michinoku content to control rather than advance.
Michinoku trying to control from Humperdink's half guard. Humperdink has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Michinoku wants to control from the top but Humperdink keeps moving.
Michinoku is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Michinoku tries to stand but Humperdink is controlling from the bottom.
Humperdink wants to stand up but Michinoku is controlling him.
Humperdink knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Michinoku on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Michinoku swats away the attempt to clinch by Humperdink.
Humperdink tries to grapple but his opponent circles

so Michinoku counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Michinoku slips nicely into half guard.
Michinoku is looking to take a break and control but Humperdink is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Humperdink wants to get back to his feet.
Michinoku throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Michinoku tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Humperdink looks like he's trying to stand up.

Michinoku is trying for a kimura here. Humperdink looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Michinoku wins by kimura!
