Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between jo blade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nico Obino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). blade comes to the cage accompanied by i am rock. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
blade wants to clinch.
Obino throws a right hand that blade ducks under and follows up with a left that blade also avoids with ease.
blade throws a head kick but Obino moves out of range.
Obino circles away from the clinch attempt.
Obino closes the distance and clinches up with blade, looking for a takedown. Obino pushes blade against the cage but blade circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

blade tries to keep at a distance but Obino has taken the fight into the clinch.

Obino wants the takedown. blade is fighting it off but Obino persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in blade's guard against the cage.

Obino controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
I looks like Obino might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Obino is working blade over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
blade wants to stand and escape but Obino is having none of it.
blade is breathing heavily.
Obino tries to free his leg and advance position but blade is retaining full guard.
blade keeping moving, preventing Obino from controlling successfully.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

blade wants to stand and escape but Obino is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

blade gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
blade is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Obino dives into side control.

blade drops down looking for an ankle pick but Obino pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Obino takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Despite being in the dominant position, Nico Obino just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Obino is looking to clinch but blade is avoiding it.
blade moves in looking to clinch but Obino pushes him off.
Obino shoots in but blade avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Obino dives in and grabs blade's left leg, looking for a takedown. blade pushes down on Obino's head and hops out.
blade displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Obino.

Obino tries for a takedown but blade manages to get underhooks.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with blade for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Obino is trying to maintain a safe position but blade gets an underhook and turns Obino into the cage.
Obino stops a takedown attempt from blade.

Obino has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but blade has passed into side control.
Obino is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on blade's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

blade looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Obino passes into half guard.
Obino trying to control the pace.
Obino's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
blade is looking to escape.

Obino decides to stand and escape the position.
Obino looks for a takedown but blade sprawls well.
Obino throws a right and a left that both miss.
blade wants to clinch up but Obino keeps it at a distance.
Obino fails with a takedown attempt.

Obino feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Obino is stalling here. blade is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Obino seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and blade has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
