Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randy George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kerry King!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from George.
Kerry King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick from King lands but George takes it in his stride.


It looks like Randy George has been cut.
King is looking to clinch but George is avoiding it.

George throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. King was covering up waiting for the punch and George finishes the takedown easily into guard.
George is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

George shoots in looking for a takedown. King tries to sprawl out of it but George keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. King manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

so George counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
King can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as George controls the pace.
King is breathing heavily.
George seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down King for as long as he can get away with.

George's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts King, as that shot connected.

George drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

George has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. King is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

George breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

George with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling King to score with a decent uppercut.
King misses with a series of wild punches.
George will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King is looking to break free of the clinch but George has double underhooks.
King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
