Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Dogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jackson's choice of entrance music: Candy Song. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Simon Jackson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dogers shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jackson moves out of range of the body kick.
Jackson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dogers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Jackson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dogers's guard now.

Dogers darts in trying to clinch

and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jackson.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jackson obliges.
Jackson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dogers gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Dogers gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jackson regains guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dogers throws and elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dogers's guard. Nice move by Jackson!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Simon Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dogers's guard.

Let's hope that Jackson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Dogers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dogers connects with a couple of short punches.
Jackson is controlling Dogers's posture.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dogers's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

and Jackson moves into the clinch.
Jackson keeps control of Dogers as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dogers changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jackson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Simon Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
