Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between ROYCKSON GRACIE (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magtanggol Tiquia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tiquia has chosen i stand alone as his entrance music. GRACIE has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. ROYCKSON GRACIE has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiquia lands with a thumping leg kick.
GRACIE is breathing heavily.
Tiquia lands with a kick to the temple. GRACIE shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like ROYCKSON GRACIE has been cut.

A head kick lands from Tiquia that sends GRACIE to the canvas. GRACIE tries to scramble back to his feet but Tiquia brings him back down into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tiquia is staying tight to GRACIE's torso, preventing him from escaping.
GRACIE gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Tiquia tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tiquia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with GRACIE. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Despite being in the dominant position, Magtanggol Tiquia just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tiquia shoots in but GRACIE avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Tiquia has GRACIE up against the cage in a clinch.
Tiquia lands a nice elbow.

Tiquia tightens his grip and picks GRACIE up, before dumping him to the ground. GRACIE manages to land in guard.

Tiquia has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of GRACIE is proving hard to escape from.

GRACIE is working an open guard so Tiquia takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Tiquia shoots in for a takedown but GRACIE shows good takedown defense.
No luck for Tiquia with that takedown attempt.

and Tiquia holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tiquia escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tiquia is defended easily by GRACIE.
ROYCKSON GRACIE has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magtanggol Tiquia.
GRACIE on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tiquia. Tiquia obviously looking to wear him down.
Magtanggol Tiquia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tiquia cracks a nice hook into GRACIE's ribs.
Tiquia throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by GRACIE.
Tiquia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tiquia lands with a slapping head kick.
Tiquia connects with a solid leg kick.

Tiquia goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Tiquia wants to clinch up but GRACIE keeps it at a distance.

Tiquia shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in GRACIE's guard.

GRACIE looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tiquia passes into side control.

GRACIE is looking for a sweep.

Tiquia decides to stand up, so the ref orders GRACIE to his feet.
Tiquia tries to close the distance and clinch up but GRACIE swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Magtanggol Tiquia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Tiquia feints and then cracks GRACIE's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow GRACIE down.
A chopping leg kick lands by Tiquia.
ROYCKSON GRACIE is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tiquia instigates a clinch.
Tiquia gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Tiquia turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Tiquia wants to stand but GRACIE has his arm trapped.
GRACIE taking punishment in the form of punches.

GRACIE tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tiquia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
You can see the frustration on GRACIE's face as Tiquia controls the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tiquia decides to stand back up. Tiquia steps back and let's GRACIE get back to his feet.

Tiquia is pushing down on GRACIE's leg trying to pass to half guard. GRACIE is fighting to maintain full guard but Tiquia has managed to sneak the leg through.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tiquia in particular looking to stall.

Well Tiquia has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
