Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Marshall Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcello Nazarett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nazarett has chosen Eye Of The Tiger as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Marshall Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcello Nazarett!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nazarett moves away.
Nazarett looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Marshall Jr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Nazarett throws an elbow but misses.
Nazarett can't get the takedown.

Marshall Jr pulls Nazarett into guard.
Nazarett trying to move into half guard but instead Marshall Jr has managed to sweep!
Marshall Jr wants to control from the top but Nazarett keeps moving.
Marshall Jr sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Nazarett keeping moving, preventing Marshall Jr from controlling successfully.
Marshall Jr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Marshall Jr is really struggling to control Nazarett but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Marshall Jr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Marshall Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nazarett swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Marshall Jr counters with a takedown into side control.

Marshall Jr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Marshall Jr decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Nazarett avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nazarett tries to clinch up

and Marshall Jr counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Nazarett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nazarett wants to stand but Marshall Jr is controlling the position.

Nazarett had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Marshall Jr is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nazarett Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Marshall Jr's back instead.

Nazarett get's back to his feet.
Marshall Jr throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

and Marshall Jr counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nazarett tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Come on Marshall Jr - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

and Marshall Jr counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Marshall Jr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nazarett pinned against the cage. Nazarett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Marshall Jr forces Nazarett back against the cage and clinches.
Marshall Jr lands an elbow that stopped Nazarett in his tracks for a moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Marshall Jr manages to break the clinch.

Nazarett tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Marshall Jr moves into the clinch.
Nazarett tries to land a knee to the head but Marshall Jr blocks with his arms.

Marshall Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nazarett wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Nazarett looking to throw knees to the head but Marshall Jr is blocking nicely.

Marshall Jr gets control of Nazarett's arms and successfully pulls guard. Marshall Jr will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Nazarett wants to pass the guard but Marshall Jr is keeping the position.
Marshall Jr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Marshall Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nazarett can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nazarett is pushing down on Marshall Jr's leg trying to pass to half guard. Marshall Jr is fighting to maintain full guard but Nazarett has managed to sneak the leg through.
Nazarett wants to pass the guard but Marshall Jr is defending well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A frustrated look appears on Marshall Jr's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Nazarett is looking to break free of the clinch but Marshall Jr has double underhooks.
Nazarett has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Marshall Jr avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Nazarett drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Marshall Jr gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dan Marshall Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcello Nazarett.

Nazarett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marshall Jr's guard.

Marshall Jr has his hands on Nazarett's head, controlling the position.

Marshall Jr is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Marshall Jr works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marshall Jr postures up in Nazarett's guard and throws a big left but Nazarett blocks it.

Nazarett escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marshall Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Marshall Jr postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Nazarett to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nazarett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marshall Jr tries to avoid it but Nazarett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marshall Jr to the ground. Marshall Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nazarett is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Marshall Jr has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Marshall Jr!

Nazarett is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Nazarett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Marshall Jr is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nazarett's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nazarett's back!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nazarett tries to roll but Marshall Jr sticks to his back.
Nazarett is taking damage to the body and head.
Marshall Jr is punishing Nazarett with strikes - can he finish him?!
Marshall Jr connects with a big shot to the side of Nazarett's head.
You can see the frustration on Nazarett's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Nazarett tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Nazarett keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Dan Marshall Jr showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Marshall Jr has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
