Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jo Choi!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Davis has gone for a leg lock! Choi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Davis's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Davis counters with a takedown into side control.
Davis scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Choi to see if he's OK.
Choi pushes Davis away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Davis gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Davis is looking to take a break and control but Choi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Davis here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Jo Choi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jo Choi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
