Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chucky Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderley Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes comes to the cage accompanied by Nine Inch Nails - Deep. Wanderley Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chucky Reyes!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wanderley Silva!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Reyes.
Silva is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Reyes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Silva is not content to let Reyes control the position.

Reyes tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

It looks like Chucky Reyes has been cut.
Wanderley Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reyes throws a shot from downtown. Silva moves away and avoids it.

Silva rushes Reyes and presses him up against the cage.
Silva keeps control of Reyes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Reyes has hold of one of Silva's legs. Silva is fighting the takedown attempt but Reyes gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Reyes's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Reyes is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Silva wants to get back to his feet but Reyes passes into half guard.
Reyes landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Reyes lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Silva is trying to stand.
Silva has hold of Reyes's hands but Reyes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Silva is defending against the submission attempts here by Reyes.

Reyes is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Reyes passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Silva!

Silva's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Reyes working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Silva is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reyes lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Silva hang on?

Reyes gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Silva tries to clinch but Reyes moves out of range.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Reyes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Reyes slips a nice elbow through Silva's hands, connecting with Silva's forehead.
Silva tries to kick Reyes off but Reyes keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Reyes decides to stand up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva loads up on a big right hand but Reyes slips the punch.
Reyes moves out of range as Silva throws a body kick.

Reyes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Reyes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Reyes is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Silva is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chucky Reyes!
