PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Bigfoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theo Apostolou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Brutus Bigfoot has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Brutus Bigfoot seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apostolou tries to clinch there but Bigfoot circles away.
Bigfoot tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bigfoot misses with a two punch combination.
Bigfoot looks for a takedown but Apostolou sprawls well.
Bigfoot closes the distance looking to clinch

and Apostolou counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Apostolou.
Apostolou comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Brutus Bigfoot has been cut.
Bigfoot tries to break free but Apostolou pushes him back against the cage.
Bigfoot drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Apostolou misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bigfoot.
Apostolou lands a nice elbow.
Bigfoot tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Apostolou smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brutus Bigfoot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bigfoot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Apostolou circles away quickly and effectively.
Bigfoot misses with a straight right.
Bigfoot wants to clinch

and Apostolou counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Bigfoot breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bigfoot moves into the clinch successfully.
Bigfoot can't get the takedown.
Bigfoot wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Apostolou missing with knees to the body.
Apostolou lands an elbow just above Bigfoot 's eye.

Apostolou tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bigfoot avoids it.

Apostolou lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Brutus Bigfoot's cut is getting worse.
Bigfoot takes an elbow to the forehead.
Apostolou lands an elbow inside that Bigfoot shrugs off.

Brutus Bigfoot's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Bigfoot is breathing heavily.
Bigfoot is trying to break the clinch but Apostolou is controlling him.
Bigfoot takes an elbow to the forehead.
Bigfoot is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Apostolou lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Jeez, Brutus Bigfoot's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Apostolou creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bigfoot's defenses.
Bigfoot can't break the clinch.
Apostolou gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brutus Bigfoot's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
