The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramage dodges the punch combination from Wirtanen.
Wirtanen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Slade Ramage has been cut.
Wirtanen tries to clinch up.
Ramage avoids the head kick by Wirtanen.
Wirtanen wants to clinch up but Ramage keeps it at a distance.
Wirtanen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Some wild striking there from Wirtanen.
Wirtanen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ramage but Ramage pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wirtanen fails to land with a series of punches.
Wirtanen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ramage shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wirtanen's guard.
Wirtanen is trying to control the position but Ramage postures up.
Ramage drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ramage jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ramage seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Ramage wants to pass the guard but Wirtanen is keeping the position.

Ramage slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Ramage wants to control from the top but Wirtanen keeps moving.
Wirtanen trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Ramage pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wirtanen is keeping the position for now.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Ramage counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wirtanen is breathing heavily.
Ramage is looking for a kimura here.

Ramage moves nicely into side control.

Ramage working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ramage closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Ramage working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Wirtanen is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Ramage.

Ramage slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
