Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adam Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabago comes to the cage accompanied by SKSK Faces. Wayne has chosen Last of my kind as his entrance music. Christopher Wayne has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Adam Rabago's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Wayne!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabago fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Rabago shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wayne defends it nicely.
Wayne blocks a jab.

Wayne looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Rabago with the active half guard here but Wayne passes nicely into side control.
Wayne wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rabago keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, if Wayne is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rabago is trying to maintain the position but Wayne is very close to passing his half guard.

Wayne wants to stand up but Rabago is controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rabago tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wayne was well out of range. Poor timing from Rabago.

Rabago won't allow Wayne to sweep him here.

Rabago postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wayne is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rabago, into his guard.
Wayne scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Wayne working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rabago's head.

Wayne is in close to Rabago's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Rabago is working an open guard so Wayne takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Wayne counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher Wayne dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Wayne feints and as Rabago raises his hands in defense, Wayne changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Rabago working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wayne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wayne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rabago has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wayne can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rabago had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wayne is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rabago Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wayne's back instead.

Wayne is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rabago is hanging on to Wayne's back as he tries to escape.
Wayne turns into Rabago and is now in his guard.

Wayne gets to his feet - Rabago follows without any prompting.
Wayne throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wayne darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Wayne closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wayne lands in his opponent's guard.
Wayne wants to control from the top but Rabago keeps moving.
Wayne passes Rabago's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Wayne is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rabago looks like he's trying to stand up.

Rabago tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wayne wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee asks Wayne politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wayne prefers to stall for the moment though.

Wayne decides to stand back up.

Wayne moves into the clinch.

Christopher Wayne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Rabago's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Wayne shoots in and bounces Rabago off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Wayne gets to his feet - Rabago follows without any prompting.

and Wayne counters with a big head kick but Rabago shrugs it off.

Rabago gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wayne to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Wayne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rabago. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rabago wants to get back to his feet but Wayne passes into half guard.

Wayne is looking to take a break and control but Rabago is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rabago is looking to control Wayne's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rabago avoid being mounted?

Wayne is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rabago doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wayne.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wayne thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rabago's head.

Rabago manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Christopher Wayne is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wayne stands up and beckons Rabago to join him on the feet.

Christopher Wayne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wayne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
