The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Monroe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Peck looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Peck shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peck showed some decent athleticism there.
Monroe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Monroe had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Peck is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Monroe Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Peck's back instead.
Monroe just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Monroe wants to control but Peck is keeping busy.
Peck is trapped and Monroe is scoring with shots to the head and body.
