Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Svern Ferrus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Versace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Versace has chosen Sweep the Leg as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrus tries to clinch up but Versace circles away and keeps his distance.
Ferrus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Versace.
Ferrus bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Versace displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ferrus throws out the jab.
Versace swats away the attempt to clinch by Ferrus.
Ferrus loads up on a big right hand but Versace slips the punch.
Ferrus misses with a low kick.
Ferrus tries to bum rush Versace with a series of wild strikes but Versace uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Versace takes a jab right on the kisser.
Versace fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ferrus tries to clinch but Versace is having none of it.
Versace misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ferrus.
Nice sprawl there from Versace as Ferrus shoots in.
Ferrus throws a right and a left that Versace avoids nicely.
Svern Ferrus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ferrus shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Versace manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Versace wants to get back to his feet but Ferrus is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ferrus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ferrus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Versace is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ferrus tries to free his leg and advance position but Versace is retaining full guard.
Ferrus prevents Versace from getting back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ferrus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A nice combination there by Ferrus.
Ferrus misses with a looping left.
Ferrus throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
No joy there for Ferrus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Versace checks a leg kick nicely.
Ferrus looks to land a left hand but Versace moved out of range nicely.
Ferrus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Versace paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Versace scores with a body shot.
Ferrus is breathing heavily.
Ferrus swings and misses with a shot to the body
enabling Versace to counter with a crisp jab.
Ferrus slips under a jab from Versace.
Ferrus misses with a body punch
and Versace counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Svern Ferrus has been cut.

Versace drops Ferrus with a left and a right! Oh, Ferrus is hurt - Versace dives into side control looking to finish!

Ferrus is rocked!
A big shot lands for Versace! That's hurt Ferrus! Will he recover? Versace fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
