PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bek Ali Hadzhimuradov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasily Krakow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hadzhimuradov comes into the arena with Lezginka blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasily Krakow!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Krakow, as that shot connected.
Hadzhimuradov tries to score with a low kick but Krakow moves his leg out of the way.
Hadzhimuradov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hadzhimuradov swings for the body but Krakow moves out of range.
Hadzhimuradov misses with a wild combination.

Krakow drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Krakow keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hadzhimuradov's head.

Krakow drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hadzhimuradov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Krakow has Hadzhimuradov in his guard.

Hadzhimuradov moves forwards but Krakow connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Krakow connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Vasily Krakow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Krakow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
