The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Rye Rock or perhaps it was just good defense by Naboob which made him look bad.

Rye Rock tries to close the distance and clinch up but Naboob swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rye Rock closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Naboob feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rye Rock shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Naboob as he jumps to the side.

Rye Rock tries to keep at a distance but Naboob has taken the fight into the clinch.

Rye Rock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Naboob has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rye Rock has managed to get both his arms back between Naboob's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryan Rye Rock.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rye Rock, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
