Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Palowakski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palowakski has chosen Burning Down the House as his entrance music. Brock Steiner could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fred Palowakski's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brock Steiner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fred Palowakski!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palowakski tries to clinch there but Steiner circles away.

Palowakski clinches up with Steiner and pushes him back against the cage.
Steiner keeps control of Palowakski as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Palowakski lands with a left to the head.
Steiner is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Steiner wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Palowakski has him pressed against the cage.
Palowakski scores with a nice hook to the head.
Palowakski slows down the pace here.

Palowakski has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Steiner regains guard immediately.
Palowakski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Steiner is keeping the position for now.

Steiner keeping moving, preventing Palowakski from controlling successfully.
Palowakski throwing strikes but missing.
Palowakski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Palowakski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Steiner works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steiner keeping moving, preventing Palowakski from controlling successfully.
Palowakski tries to stand but Steiner is controlling from the bottom.
Steiner is trying to control the position but Palowakski postures up.
Steiner is trying to hold Palowakski in close to prevent damage but Palowakski has managed to pass into half guard.
Steiner is looking to control Palowakski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Steiner avoid being mounted?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Steiner is trying to control but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Steiner misses with a head kick.
Steiner lands with a cross.
Steiner throws a sloppy head kick and Palowakski moves out of range easily.
Palowakski throws a jab but it's blocked by Steiner.

Palowakski scores with a takedown into Steiner's guard.

Palowakski stands and steps away. Steiner gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Steiner takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Steiner is breathing heavily.
Palowakski takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Brock Steiner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Steiner misses with a wild combination.
Brock Steiner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Palowakski slips a straight right by Steiner.

Palowakski fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Steiner, pushing him back against the cage.
Steiner wants to stall.
Palowakski lands on the inside with an uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steiner misses with a short punch on the inside.
Steiner stalling in the clinch but Palowakski improves position.
Palowakski makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Palowakski lands a hook that snaps the head of Steiner backwards.
Steiner is trying to force a seperation but Palowakski has the dominant position.
The referee calls for Palowakski to work.

Palowakski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Steiner thows a body shot but no joy.
Palowakski takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Steiner misses with a hook. Palowakski ducked under it nicely.
Steiner misses with a hook.
A decent looking cross lands there for Palowakski.
Steiner misses with a straight right.
Steiner throws a jab but it's blocked by Palowakski.

Palowakski shoots in and bounces Steiner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Palowakski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Palowakski trying to control the position from guard on top but Steiner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Steiner being controlled here, momentarily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Palowakski throwing strikes but missing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fred Palowakski dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Palowakski instigates a clinch.

Palowakski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Steiner lands a left and a right that send Palowakski crashing to the mat, dazed. Steiner thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Fred Palowakski has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steiner throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Palowakski crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Brock Steiner!
