PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buck Wild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacLeod has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLeod gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Wild throws an uppercut from half a mile away. MacLeod sees it coming and avoids it easily.
MacLeod fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
MacLeod pulls out of a head kick attempt.
MacLeod looks gassed!
MacLeod takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wild misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wild misses with a looping left.
MacLeod throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Wild counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple MacLeod!

MacLeod is rocked!
Wild tries to stand but can't do so whilst MacLeod controls his leg.
MacLeod is still in real trouble! Can Wild finish him?
MacLeod has a hand on Wild's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Wild takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
MacLeod seems to have recovered his senses.

MacLeod is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wild sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
MacLeod is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wild punching from mount but MacLeod doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Wild with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Wild unloads with some shots from mount but MacLeod bucks and avoids them well.
MacLeod wants to control but Wild is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wild has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
MacLeod is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Wild controlling his opponent.
Wild blocks MacLeod's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Wild stands up from mount. Strange move.
MacLeod shoots in for a double leg but Wild sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Mark MacLeod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MacLeod fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buck Wild dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
