The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cairn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mondero swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cairn throws a combination. Mondero tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mondero changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cairn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cairn is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mondero asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Mondero scores with a one two! Cairn had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mondero wants to stand and escape but instead Cairn has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Mondero has control of Cairn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cairn regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Mondero is stalling here. Cairn is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mondero seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cairn has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

I would just about give that final round to Jeganathan Mondero.
