The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yemelyanenko tries to clinch up but Nova circles away and keeps his distance.
Nova cracks Yemelyanenko with an uppercut from hell and Yemelyanenko crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Nova's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
It looks like Fyodor Yemelyanenko has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nova closes the distance and pushes Yemelyanenko back into the cage.
Nova breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nova connects with a stiff jab that staggers Yemelyanenko - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
