The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCormick throws a hook but Hades blocks it.
Hades attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
McCormick misses the shot to the body.
Hades swings and misses with a shot to the body
and McCormick counters with a single leg into guard. Hades didn't expect that.
Hades looking for a sweep. Not yet Hades, not yet.
McCormick might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
McCormick connects with a couple of short punches.
McCormick loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
McCormick looking to pass the guard.
McCormick is working hard here to advance position.
McCormick drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hades manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McCormick has Hades in his guard.
McCormick wants to control the position but Hades says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

McCormick is looking for a sweep. Hades is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hades performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

McCormick fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hades manages to avoid it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

McCormick shoots in looking for a takedown. Hades tries to sprawl out of it but McCormick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hades manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McCormick avoids the body shot from Hades.
The crowd cheers as Hades lands an impressive looking overhand right. McCormick doesn't seem phased though.

Hades fails to land with a series of punches.
Apollo Hades is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McCormick lands a with a good body shot.
McCormick scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hades doesn't seem bothered though.
Hades tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McCormick was well out of range. Poor timing from Hades.
McCormick throws a nice looking combination but Hades bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hades throws a jab but it's blocked by McCormick.

McCormick ducks under a wild hook from Hades.

Hades takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nice takedown defense from Hades. No joy for McCormick on that attempt.

Hades displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McCormick.
