Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Georges Laraque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Enduro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Laraque!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mr Enduro!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enduro fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A jab from Enduro misses.

Laraque drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laraque would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Laraque preventing the sweep.
Enduro is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Laraque trying to stand up but can't free himself from Enduro's guard.
Enduro keeping moving, preventing Laraque from controlling successfully.

Enduro preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Laraque wants to stand but Enduro has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Enduro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Laraque tries to close the distance and clinch but Enduro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Enduro closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Enduro lands in his opponent's guard.

Laraque is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Laraque is pulling down on Enduro's head. It's preventing any offense from Enduro, at least for the moment.
Enduro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Laraque is really struggling to control Enduro but he's trying to hold on to the position.

and Laraque counters by clinching up.

Laraque ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Laraque no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

I looks like Enduro might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Enduro is standing up over Laraque. Laraque looks to escape but Enduro dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Georges Laraque will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Enduro shoots and misses
and Laraque counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
A left and a right from Laraque both land. Nice combination.
Georges Laraque seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Enduro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Laraque is trying to defend but Enduro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Laraque is looking to improve his position.
Laraque is trying to stand.
Enduro content to control rather than advance.
Laraque trying to hold on to Enduro's head to control him but Enduro postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Enduro is controlling the pace.
Laraque has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Enduro is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Laraque gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Enduro to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Laraque wants to stand and escape but Enduro is having none of it.

Enduro content to stall in guard here.
Enduro postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Enduro won't allow Laraque to sweep him here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Enduro seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Enduro's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mr Enduro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Laraque's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Enduro throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Laraque.
Laraque is looking to clinch but Enduro is avoiding it.
Laraque moves in looking to clinch but Enduro pushes him off.
Enduro dives in and grabs Laraque's left leg, looking for a takedown. Laraque pushes down on Enduro's head and hops out.

Laraque shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Laraque was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Enduro is looking to improve his position but Laraque isn't that keen on the idea.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Laraque wants to control the pace but Enduro is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Enduro keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Laraque takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Enduro wants to hold on but Laraque pushes him away.
Enduro tries to reverse the position but Laraque maintains control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Laraque can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Enduro is looking to escape.
Enduro tries to hold on but Laraque postures up.
Laraque trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Enduro regains half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Laraque seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Enduro slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Laraque trying to control but Enduro is working from the bottom.
Laraque looking to sit in guard and control but Enduro gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Laraque is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Georges Laraque.
I think Laraque has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
