Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Igor Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucio Tapio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tapio changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sousa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Tapio is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sousa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sousa is pushing Tapio's head away, looking to escape. Tapio manages to hold on to the position though.

Tapio goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sousa has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Tapio but great work by Sousa.
Tapio wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Tapio is looking for a sweep.
Sousa tries to advance to mount but Tapio denies him.
Sousa prevents Tapio from escaping the position.

Sousa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tapio has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Tapio's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Tapio looking for a sweep but Sousa has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sousa manages to capitalize on a mistake by Tapio to take his back!
