PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Hugo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Brighton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo comes to the cage accompanied by Rammstein - Feuer Frei. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugo shoots in looking for a takedown. Brighton tries to sprawl out of it but Hugo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brighton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Brighton has managed to clinch.
Brighton gets through Hugo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Brighton blocks an uppercut.

Brighton breaks the clinch.
Hugo closes the distance and clinches up with Brighton, looking for a takedown. Hugo pushes Brighton against the cage but Brighton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Brighton just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hugo's brow.

Brighton has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hugo off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Hugo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brighton throws out the jab.

Hugo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brighton's waist but Brighton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hugo off to one side.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

I would just about give that final round to Billy Brighton.
Well Brighton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
