PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luca Atalla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Bogard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luca Atalla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rocky Bogard!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Atalla's waist but Atalla gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bogard off to one side.
Atalla tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bogard shoots in looking for a takedown. Atalla tries to sprawl out of it but Bogard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Atalla manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bogard fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Luca Atalla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocky Bogard.
Bogard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Atalla goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Bogard throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bogard throws a right hand that Atalla ducks under and follows up with a left that Atalla also avoids with ease.
Bogard looks gassed!
Bogard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Atalla avoids it really well and circles away.
Atalla throws a head kick that Bogard semi-blocks.
Atalla lands with a nice body kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Atalla finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Atalla connects with a single shot there.
Atalla plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Atalla throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Atalla lands with a kick to the temple. Bogard shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Atalla lands a head kick!
Atalla moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Bogard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Atalla misses with a double jab.
Atalla throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Atalla scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Bogard is rocked!
Atalla connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Bogard! He's out on his feet! Atalla rushes in and drops Bogard with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
