Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Patron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dos Santos fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Patron closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. dos Santos did well to prevent Patron getting side control.
dos Santos is refusing to be controlled, as Patron sits in half guard.
Patron misses with a head shot. dos Santos uses the momentum to regain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
dos Santos has momentary wrist control but Patron slips an elbow through the middle.
Patron working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
dos Santos throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Patron is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Patron got a little sloppy there for a moment and dos Santos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Patron has managed to get both his arms back between dos Santos's legs - danger averted.

Patron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Patron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
