The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia fails to land the takedown.
Chambers leaves Maia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Maia shoots in for a takedown but Chambers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tenlou Maia. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oooh a lovely combination from Chambers sends Maia down but not out. Chambers dives into side control looking to finish.

Maia is rocked!

It looks like Tenlou Maia has been cut.

Chambers is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Maia has escaped the position, nice work there.
Chambers tries to move to mount but Maia blocks the move with his legs.
Maia is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Maia prevents Chambers from moving into mount.
Chambers just content to control the position.

Chambers tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chambers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Chambers decides to stand back up. Chambers steps back and let's Maia get back to his feet.
Maia shoots in but Chambers avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Maia is breathing heavily.
Maia on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Maia takes one to the side of the head.
Donk. Chambers catches Maia right on the button with a cross.
Maia shoots in and drives through. Chambers sprawls well.
Maia ducks straight into an uppercut from Chambers and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Maia maanges to regain guard straight away.
Oh Maia is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Chambers drops back looking for a leg! Maia is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Maia manages to kick Chambers off! Chambers jumps back into Maia's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chambers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Maia seems to have got his legs back now.
Chambers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Chambers sends Maia crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Chambers is motioning to the referee to let Maia up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Chambers lands a brutal uppercut that launches Maia off his feet! Maia tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
