Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Sylva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joschua Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sylva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Seek & Destroy. Joschua Evans told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sylva.
Evans doesn't manage to clinch there - Sylva circles away.
Evans has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sylva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Evans fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Sylva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Evans lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Evans misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sylva dodges the punch combination from Evans.

Sylva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Evans but Evans pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Evans slaps away a takedown attempt from Sylva, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Sylva successfully pulls guard.
Sylva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sylva tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Evans trying to control but Sylva is working from the bottom.
Sylva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Evans defends well.
Evans got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sylva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Evans has managed to get both his arms back between Sylva's legs - danger averted.
Sylva is breathing heavily.

Sylva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sylva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sylva is trying to keep Evans in close.
Evans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sylva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Evans has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sylva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Evans is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sylva pulls down on the head and he's put Evans to sleep! This one is all over!
