The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sterns throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.
Horrible takedown by Sterns or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.
Smith misses with a straight right.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sterns.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but Sterns bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smith misses with a hook. Sterns ducked under it nicely.
Sterns fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Smith avoids it really well and circles away.
Smith misses with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Smith slips a straight right by Sterns.

Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith misses with a wild body shot.
Sterns keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Smith looks to throw the jab but Sterns is out of range.
Sterns misses with a double jab.
Nice straight punches there by Smith. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smith.
Smith missing with a left hand there. Sterns was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by Sterns.
Smith cracks Sterns with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cory Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Smith cracks Sterns with an open hand slap.
The fighters circle, before Smith throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Sterns's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Smith lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
