Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hardaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayceon Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardaway's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Chino XL's Lyrical Messiah. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jayceon Taylor was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardaway with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hardaway throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hardaway circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hardaway!
Hardaway throws a series of punches but Taylor avoids them all with ease.
Hardaway lands a head kick!
Hardaway tries to bum rush Taylor with a series of wild strikes but Taylor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hardaway's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Hardaway duly obliges.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hardaway, right into the meat.
Taylor avoids the head kick by Hardaway.
Hardaway fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardaway throws a series of punches but Taylor moves out of range.
Taylor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hardaway throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Taylor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hardaway to the mat! Hardaway manages to get full guard.
Hardaway wants to get back to his feet but Taylor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Hardaway is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Taylor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The strikes coming from Taylor are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Hardaway is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Taylor has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hardaway is pushing Taylor's head away, looking to escape. Taylor manages to hold on to the position though.
