Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Richarlison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wilson Rico!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Rico does no damage.
Rico scores with a nice body kick.
Richarlison moves out of range of the body kick.
Rico throws a head kick but Richarlison moves out of range.
A punch combination from Rico misses.
Richarlison staying out of range there.
Rico slaps away a takedown attempt from Richarlison, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rico attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rico, right into the meat.
Richarlison looks gassed!
Rico throws a nice inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Richarlison closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Rico sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Richarlison is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rico defends it well.
Richarlison is thwarting Rico's attempts to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rico makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rico.
Rico wants to sweep here but Richarlison controlling him for the moment.
Rico not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Richarlison trying to control but Rico is working from the bottom.
Richarlison might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rico kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Rico has Richarlison pulled in close to control his posture.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Richarlison wants to control from the top but Rico keeps moving.
Richarlison stops Rico from standing up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Richarlison ducks under a wild hook from Rico.
Rico ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Richarlison moves away.
Rico getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Richarlison dives in and grabs Rico's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rico pushes down on Richarlison's head and hops out.
Rico loads up on a big right hand but Richarlison slips the punch.
Rico throws a head kick that misses.

Rico looks to land a right hand but Richarlison moved out of range.
Rico throws a right and a left that Richarlison avoids nicely.
Rico tries a head kick but it misses.
Rico bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rico with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Rico scores with a leg kick.
Rico lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Rico misses with an attempted mid kick.
The fighters circle, before Rico throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Richarlison's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Rico lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
