Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hadley Jagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jagger shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jagger showed some decent athleticism there.

Jagger thows a huge punch but Silva dodges it nicely.
Silva is trying to get back to full guard.
Jagger is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Silva!

Jagger with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Jagger is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jagger.

Silva makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Silva moves in looking to clinch but Jagger pushes him off.
Jagger takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jagger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Jagger misses with a body shot.
Jagger catches Silva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Silva takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Jagger.
Jagger throwing strikes here but Silva is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Jagger takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Jagger goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Silva turns into him and now he's in Jagger's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jagger is on top in guard.

Jagger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Jagger eventually gives up the hold.
Jagger is looking to advance position but Silva won't allow it.

Hadley Jagger dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jagger shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Jagger is just content to waste time from the top position. Silva takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Jagger is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Jagger has managed to sneak the leg through.

Jagger is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silva sees it coming and defends easily.

Silva is looking to control Jagger's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted?
The fighters are battling for position here. Silva manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jagger on the ground.

Jagger throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Jagger goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Silva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jagger but great work by Silva.

Silva tries to stand and escape but Jagger is controlling the position.

Silva is sitting in close to Jagger's body. Jagger has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Silva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Silva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jagger.
