Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Pollux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pollux's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Oh, Hello Ghost by Rolo Tomassi. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as John Doe enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pollux looks to land a right hand but Doe moved out of range.
Doe throws the left hand but Pollux avoids the punch easily.

Doe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Pollux thows a body shot but no joy.
Pollux throws out a loose jab but Doe uses good head movement to avoid it.

Pollux fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Doe, pushing him back against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Pollux's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Pollux will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Doe up against the cage.

Doe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Doe moves out of range of the strikes.
Pollux uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Doe.
Pollux looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pollux throwing strikes here but Doe is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Pollux manages to capitalize on a mistake by Doe to take his back!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pollux is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Pollux gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Pollux gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Pollux apologises and we restart here on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
