The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris gets a clinch.
Lempi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Harris just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lempi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Harris walks away with a smile on his face. Lempi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Horrible takedown by Lempi or perhaps it was just good defense by Harris which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lauri Lempi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Harris throws a leg kick but Lempi sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Lempi tries to keep at a distance but Harris has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lempi jumps guard but Harris stands there with Lempi around his waist. Lempi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Harris lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Lempi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Harris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lempi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Lempi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Harris is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lempi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Harris is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lempi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Harris, who protects the arm well.

Lempi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harris keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
