The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from kroshi misses.

Mortenson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mortenson lands in his opponent's guard.

kroshi is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. kroshi gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. kroshi gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. kroshi apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
kroshi decides to stand back up. kroshi steps back and let's Mortenson get back to his feet.

and Mortenson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for kroshi!

Mortenson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. kroshi can't fight it off and eventually Mortenson manages to take the fight to the floor. kroshi looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
kroshi postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mortenson looks a forlorn figure.

kroshi has got one arm under Mortenson's chin. This could be trouble... Mortenson trying to control the other hand but kroshi gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Mortenson has tapped out! The fight is over!
