PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yoshido Yamaha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slim Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamaha comes to the cage accompanied by Teriyaki boyz - fast and furious. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshido Yamaha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Slim Jim!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yamaha but Yamaha pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jim fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Jim shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jim showed some decent athleticism there.
Jim is thwarting Yamaha's attempts to control the position.
Yamaha throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Yamaha manages to get to full guard.

Yamaha working for a triangle but Jim defends it easily.

Yamaha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jim doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jim manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yamaha swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yamaha has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jim is looking to advance position but Yamaha has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Jim looks gassed!

Yamaha working for a guillotine from mount but Jim is in no mood to give up.

Jim bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Yamaha is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Jim fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Yoshido Yamaha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slim Jim.
Yamaha wants to break free but Jim has control.

Jim pulls guard successfully.
Yamaha throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jim works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Yamaha drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Yamaha as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Jim screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Yamaha! Nice submission victory there!
