The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts lands a slapping body shot.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Roberts got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jerkwater has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roberts has managed to get both his arms back between Jerkwater's legs - danger averted.

Roberts feints and then cracks Jerkwater's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jerkwater down.

Roberts changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jerkwater looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jerkwater takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Roberts lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jerkwater down.
