The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rocket drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gray is looking for a sweep.

Rocket decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gray to his feet.

Rocket scores with a takedown into Gray's guard.

Rocket decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gray, up you get!
Rocket fails with a takedown attempt.
Gray throws a series of punches but Rocket moves out of range.
Kevin Gray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rocket shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gray as he avoids it easily.

Rocket has managed to clinch.

Rocket keeps control of Gray as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Rocket using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gray has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Rocket prevents a body shot from Gray.
Rocket goes for a takedown attempt but Gray pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kevin Gray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Red Rocket.
Rocket dodges the punch combination from Gray.
Gray lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Red Rocket has been cut.
Rocket looks gassed!
Gray's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Gray duly obliges.

Rocket is rocked!
Rocket shoots in for a takedown but Gray shows good takedown defense.
Rocket is still on wobbly legs! Can Gray finish him?
Rocket looks up at the clock. Bad move! Gray lands a right hand from hell, dropping Rocket. Gray pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
