Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Janne Kalleala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul Puska!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puska defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kalleala.
Kalleala shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Puska as he jumps to the side.
Puska blocks a head kick by Kalleala.
Kalleala moves in looking to clinch but Puska pushes him off.

Kalleala darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Puska controlling the position for now.

Kalleala is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Puska is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Kalleala pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Puska wants to improve his position but Kalleala is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kalleala seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kalleala lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Puska circles away quickly and effectively.

Kalleala closes the distance and clinches up with Puska, looking for a takedown. Kalleala pushes Puska against the cage but Puska circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Kalleala decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Puska's guard.
Puska is looking to stand up but Kalleala isn't so interested in that idea.

Puska is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kalleala has had enough of the clinch but Puska keeps him there for the moment.

Kalleala throws a head kick that misses.

Puska feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kalleala utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Puska wants to get up but he can't break Kalleala's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Paul Puska showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kalleala misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Puska rushes Kalleala and presses him up against the cage.
Kalleala tries for a takedown. No joy.

Puska's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

I would just about give that final round to Paul Puska.
I think Puska has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
