Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Travis Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armpit Stain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Travis Hunter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Travis Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Armpit Stain!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter swinging wilding here.
Hunter goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Stain shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Stain throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stain lands a nice short elbow.
Stain wants to take a breather but Hunter is having none of it.

Stain avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hunter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Stain loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Stain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stain closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hunter circles away.

Stain shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hunter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Stain tries to free his leg and advance position but Hunter is retaining full guard.
Stain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stain distracts Hunter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Stain chips away with some ground and pound.
Stain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hunter keeping moving, preventing Stain from controlling successfully.

Hunter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stain manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stain can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hunter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hunter wants to control from the top but Stain keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunter drops back looking for a leg! Stain is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stain manages to kick Hunter off! Hunter jumps back into Stain's guard.

Hunter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hunter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hunter is breathing heavily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hunter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stain.
Stain shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hunter pinned against the cage. Hunter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hunter lands a jab.
Stain misses with a takedown attempt - Hunter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Travis Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armpit Stain.

Stain gets the takedown into side control.
Stain cracks Hunter with a big elbow.
Hunter is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Stain's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Hunter is looking to control Stain's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hunter avoid being mounted?

Stain looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Hunter lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stain!
Hunter postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stain looks a forlorn figure.

That's time! Hunter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A combination from Hunter does no damage.
Hunter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Stain takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Stain shoots in looking for a takedown. Hunter tries to sprawl out of it but Stain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hunter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Travis Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armpit Stain.
Stain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hunter's waist but Hunter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stain off to one side.

Stain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hunter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stain somewhat.

Stain dives in and grabs Hunter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hunter pushes down on Stain's head and hops out.

Hunter throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Hunter misses with a two punch combination.

Stain shoots for a takedown but Hunter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hunter throws a sloppy head kick and Stain moves out of range easily.
Stain walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Stain shoots in but no luck this time.
Stain dives in and grabs Hunter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hunter pushes down on Stain's head and hops out.

Hunter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stain sprawls well initially but Hunter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hunter is working for a submission of some sort.

Stain wants to control but Hunter is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Hunter moves into full mount! Stain won't be happy about that!

Hunter is working for a guillotine from mount but Stain frees his head quite easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hunter moves to the back position.

Hunter is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Stain defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Hunter stands up from Stain's guard - Hunter perhaps looking for a knockout.
Travis Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stain tries for a takedown but Hunter circles away easily
and Hunter counters with a left and a right that stings Stain.
Hunter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Hunter finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Stain shoots for a double leg takedown but Hunter sprawls well. He's pushed Stain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Hunter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Stain is in trouble now - Hunter has advanced to mount!

Hunter takes a little break here. Stain wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Stain is looking for a sweep.

Stain is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hunter off and has taken his back!

Hunter manages to reverse the position and now he's in Stain's guard. Nice work there by Hunter.

Stain is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Stain controls Hunter momentarily but Hunter frees himself.
Stain doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hunter closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hunter throws a sloppy head kick and Stain moves out of range easily.

Hunter gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stain to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Stain throws a strike but Hunter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hunter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well Hunter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
