Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Dashoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vili Kuusela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuusela has chosen saliva-i walk alone as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dave Dashoo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vili Kuusela!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuusela misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dashoo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kuusela moves away.
No luck for Kuusela with that takedown attempt.
Dashoo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kuusela.
Kuusela moves into range and clinches up with Dashoo.
Dashoo jumps guard but Kuusela stands there with Dashoo around his waist. Dashoo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dashoo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dashoo manages to end up in side control.
Kuusela is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Dashoo tries to advance to mount but can't.
Dashoo trying to control the position but Kuusela is working away.
Kuusela wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Dashoo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kuusela keeps working.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dashoo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kuusela moves away.
Dashoo takes a swing at Kuusela's ribcage but misses.
Kuusela tries to clinch up.
Dashoo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Dashoo throws a looping overhand right but Kuusela ducks down to avoid it.
Dashoo getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Dashoo throws a nice looking combination but Kuusela bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kuusela takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kuusela is rocked!
Dave Dashoo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dashoo throws a hook to the side of Kuusela's head but Kuusela sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kuusela is still on wobbly legs! Can Dashoo finish him?
The fighters circling - Dashoo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kuusela seems to have recovered his senses.
Kuusela takes a swing at Dashoo's ribcage but misses.
Kuusela shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dave Dashoo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vili Kuusela.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kuusela tries to clinch up.
Dashoo throws the left hand but Kuusela avoids the punch easily.
Dashoo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kuusela slips under a jab from Dashoo.
Dashoo throws a hook but Kuusela avoids it easily.
Kuusela closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kuusela looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kuusela decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Kuusela fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dashoo avoids it really well and circles away.
Dave Dashoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dashoo looks to throw the jab but Kuusela is out of range.
Kuusela slips a jab from Dashoo.
Dashoo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kuusela sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dashoo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kuusela.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dashoo stuffs the takedown attempt from Kuusela. Kuusela gets slowly back to his feet.
Kuusela takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dashoo lands a big uppercut and Kuusela crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kuusela looks OK. Dashoo waves Kuusela back to his feet!
Dashoo lands an uppercut, right on the button! Kuusela tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dave Dashoo!
