The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butler stuffs the takedown.
Butler throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Butler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Waddy moves away.
Butler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Waddy.
Butler throws a series of punches but Waddy moves out of range.

Butler misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Butler tries to bum rush Waddy with a series of wild strikes but Waddy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Waddy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Butler connects with a nice looking jab.

It looks like Matt Waddy has been cut.
Butler throws a hook to the side of Waddy's head but Waddy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Butler throws a series of punches but Waddy moves out of range.
Waddy shoots for a double leg takedown but Butler sprawls well. He's pushed Waddy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
James Butler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Waddy.
