Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Carson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Carson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Carson lands a jab to the head.
Jones moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carson circles away quickly and effectively.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Carson is defended easily by Jones.
Carson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jones finds it's way round the side to connect with Carson's head.
Carson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones.
Jones thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Carson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carson.
A head kick misses from Carson.

Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Carson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Jones wants to stand but Carson is controlling the position.

Carson won't allow Jones to sweep him here.

Carson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Carson pushes down on Jones's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jones pushes Carson off looking to stand but Carson dives back in and keeps control.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Carson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jones defends it well.

Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carson manages to get himself to full guard.

Carson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jones drops back looking for a leg! Carson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carson manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Carson's guard.
Carson looking for a sweep. Not yet Carson, not yet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jones!
Carson controlling the pace for now.
Jones slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Carson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Carson wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.
Carson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carson on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jones looks to land a left hand but Carson moved out of range nicely.
Jones throws a jab when Carson was well out of range.
Carson slips under a jab.
Good work by Jones as he checks the leg kick.
Carson dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Jones thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jones is breathing heavily.
Carson scores with a sloppy right hand. Jones should have avoided that one.
Carson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Carson lands with a shot to the body.
Jones steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Carson. That one must have hurt.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bill Carson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Carson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Carson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Jones is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
