PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Longstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tuxedo Mickey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Longstein kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Unstoppable by Roy Jones jr.. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mickey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Longstein shoots in but Mickey avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mickey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Longstein keeps the fight on the outside.
Longstein tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Mickey counters with a three punch combo that has Longstein backing up. Longstein nods at Mickey to acknowledge the strikes.

Longstein wants to pass the guard but Mickey is keeping the position.

Longstein drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mickey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Longstein has Mickey in his guard.

Mickey gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Longstein could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Longstein has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mickey is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mickey has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Longstein is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Longstein tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mickey just stands there and leans against the cage.
Mickey digs a right hand underneath Longstein's ribcage. Longstein let out a lung full of air as it connected.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Longstein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A close round but Tuxedo Mickey will probably get the nod.

Mickey doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Longstein gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Longstein goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mickey prevents it.
Longstein is trying to drag Mickey to the mat but Mickey just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Longstein keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mickey's efforts to push away.
Mickey is breathing heavily.

Longstein has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mickey clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Longstein is working the ground and pound. Can Mickey escape?
Longstein scores with punches to the body.
Longstein throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Mickey is trying to escape under a series of strikes and manages to escape from Longstein 's hooks.

Mickey bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Longstein is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Longstein manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Mickey is looking to stand up but Longstein won't let him.
Longstein wants to sweep here but Mickey controlling him for the moment.
Longstein is trying to control the position but Mickey postures up.
Longstein on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Longstein tries to get out of the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Longstein is looking for a sweep. Mickey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Mickey is pressed up against the cage. Longstein has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mickey down to the mat. Mickey avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Mickey tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Longstein was well out of range. Poor timing from Mickey.

Longstein throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mickey was covering up waiting for the punch and Longstein finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Longstein throws a strike but Mickey rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Mickey won't allow Longstein to sweep him here.
Longstein wants to hit a switch here but Mickey passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Longstein there!

Longstein tries to reverse the position but Mickey maintains control.

Longstein srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

I would just about give that final round to Tuxedo Mickey.
