The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
face dodges the punch combination from Mosely.

face feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mosely utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
face trying to control but Mosely is working from the bottom.
face is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mosely is looking to stand back up but face counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mosely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mosely can do anything to dispel that myth.

face decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
face circles away from the clinch attempt
and face counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mosely is looking to work his way out of this bad position but face is controlling him well.

Mosely seems a little lost for a moment, as face dominates the positioning.
Mosely is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Mosely takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
face is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mosely will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
face creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mosely sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Mosely really doesn't want to stay on the ground with face. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
