PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Showme Damone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damone has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Showme Damone!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damone drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Damone looks gassed!
Walsh rushes Damone and presses him up against the cage.
Walsh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Walsh scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Showme Damone has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walsh shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Walsh is keen to just control but Damone is a slippery customer.
Walsh content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Walsh working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Walsh escapes and gets back to his feet.
Walsh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Damone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Walsh somewhat.
Walsh throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Damone crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ben Walsh!
