Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Groove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Li Chun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chun is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Chun fails with the takedown.
Chun throws a sloppy head kick and Groove moves out of range easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Groove.
The fight stays on the outside here - Groove looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Groove counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Chun thinking.

Chun wants to control from the top but Groove keeps moving.

Chun is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Groove reverses the position - he's now on top in Chun's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Groove lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Groove in particular looking to stall.
Groove wants to free his trapped foot but Chun is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Groove seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chun does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chun manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Groove manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Mohammed Groove will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Chun lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Groove throws a nice looking combination but Chun bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Groove throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chun's waist but Chun gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Groove off to one side.

and Groove counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Chun's guard now.
Chun bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Groove's guard.

Chun seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Groove working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chun doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chun manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Chun has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Groove is working away from the top position though.

Groove is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Chun has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Chun!

Chun gets to his feet. Groove looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Mohammed Groove is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
