Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Lennox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niels van de Veen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lennox comes to the cage accompanied by Country boy can survive. van de Veen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Separate Ways - Journey kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by van de Veen.
Lennox is trying hard to land a takedown here. van de Veen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
van de Veen lands a head kick. Lennox smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Lennox counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in van de Veen's guard now.
Lennox is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! van de Veen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! van de Veen has escaped and now he's on top!

Lennox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lennox looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! van de Veen has picked Lennox up and slammed him! Lennox can't keep hold of the triangle and van de Veen manages to pass to side control!
Lennox tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but van de Veen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
van de Veen is staying tight to Lennox's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Lennox is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked van de Veen off and has taken his back!
Lennox is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Lennox is persistently looking for the submission but van de Veen is defending it well.

Lennox really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
van de Veen defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
van de Veen is pushing down on Lennox's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lennox is fighting to maintain full guard but van de Veen has managed to sneak the leg through.

van de Veen moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Lennox.
Lennox is looking for a sweep.
Lennox is not content to let van de Veen control the position.
van de Veen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lennox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cameron Lennox will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and van de Veen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by van de Veen.

and van de Veen counters with a three punch combo that has Lennox backing up. Lennox nods at van de Veen to acknowledge the strikes.
A punch lands to the side of Lennox 's head but he takes it in his stride.
van de Veen throws the kick towards the body but Lennox avoids it.

Lennox drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and van de Veen counters with a series of strikes. Lennox will be more careful next time no doubt.

van de Veen lands with an uppercut that bounces Lennox off the cage and back into rage.
Oh Lennox is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lennox shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as van de Veen sprawls well. van de Veen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lennox gets slowly back to his feet.
