Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chew Backer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Groove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harry Groove has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chew Backer's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Backer gets the takedown into side control.
Backer lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Groove defending against the ground and pound.
Backer wants to control but Groove is keeping him busy.

Backer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Groove has escaped the position, nice work there.
Groove is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Backer has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Groove manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Backer prevents Groove from improving his position.
Backer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Groove on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Backer tries to advance to mount but can't.
Groove is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Backer asserts his dominance and retains side control.

and Backer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Groove's guard now.
Chew Backer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Groove.
Groove pulls Backer in to control the position.
Backer thows a big elbow that misses.
Backer wants to control from the top but Groove keeps moving.

Groove had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Backer is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Groove Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Backer's back instead.
Groove has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Backer's body.
Groove throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Backer!

Groove has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Backer is in real trouble here. Groove gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Backer is tapping out! Groove wins by rear naked choke!
