Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Nielsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joakim Kroon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kroon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nielsen's waist but Nielsen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kroon off to one side.
Nielsen looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Kroon misses with a jab, cross combination.

Kroon has Nielsen up against the cage in a clinch.
Kroon blocks the elbow strike.

Kroon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nielsen clinches but Kroon breaks the clinch

so Kroon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kroon showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Kroon lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Kroon stands up over Nielsen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Kroon content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Kroon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nielsen's head.
Nielsen wants to stand up but Kroon is controlling him.
Kroon trying to control the position from guard on top but Nielsen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nielsen looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kroon puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Kroon is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Nielsen is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
